Appeal to stop the spread of coronavirus – OSAKO won’t organize Osakoween, changes in service hours

UAS rectors and student unions appeal to students to stop the spread of coronavirus. We can all reduce the risk of campuses being closed because of corona. Read the appeal in Oiva or at: https://www.oamk.fi/en/about-oamk/current-topics/?kieli=&ak_osio=uutisjuttu&kid=68&tiedote_id=66279.

Due to the chains of infection campuses have been closed in several cities such as Vaasa and Savonlinna. We want to do our so that the student of Oamk can keep coming into campuses for example for student priced lunch and group work. This is why the board of student union OSAKO has decided not to organize the traditional Osakoween event this Autumn.

After the week 43 OSAKO will have reduced service hours. Since October 26th, we will serve you at our office in Linnanmaa from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10 AM until 2 PM. On Mondays and Fridays, we will be closed. The office will be completely closed during the week 43.

We know that studying independently and balancing with constant changes can take a toll on you. OSAKO want to remind you, that help, and support are available. If you have challenges with your studies you can contact for example the study psychologists of Oamk. You can also always contact your student union, so we can think about what to do or who to contact together. You can for example call us http://osakoweb.fi/en/contact/ or e-mail us at osako@osakoweb.fi.
