Global Week is Oamk’s and University of Oulu’s communal event week, which celebrates different backgrounds and cultures. The week’s full program has been published on Oamk’s & UniOulu’s internal communication channels, but here’s OSAKO’s events during the week:
Overall Fashion Show as a prt of Festival of Cultures on Thursday, 21.11. at 12pm
Overalls are a huge part of Finnish student culture – so huge, that in our and OYY’s fashion show, overalls will be the star of the show! The event takes place at green racks around noon and is a part of Festival of Cultures.
After the show, we’ll be also having a stand at the Festival of Cultures.
Bring your child to school -day on Friday, 22nd at 9:30am-12:00pm
The national bring your child to work -day is celebrated on Friday 22nd of November, and we’ll be joining it as well! OSAKO and OYY will host an own event for students with families, so bring your loved ones and come to spend the morning together!
During the morning, we’ll have some fun non-stop activities at Campus Cafe Messi and Agora: would your children like to make their own student cards, play some overall themed memory game or perhaps go for a little adventure on the campus?
(Note: if you are planning to take your kid/s to lectures, you need to ask permissions from the lecturers independently! Oamk and University of Oulu will be also hosting separate events for staff members with families, so if you are a staff member, see their instructions.)
