Instructions for joining and ordering a student card for various cases are given below.
Choose the case that suits your situation and follow the instructions. Finally, read the instructions regarding paying and picking up the card.
If your studies do not lead to a degree, also check the conditions for issuing a student card.
New student: you must have Oamk student account before you can order a student card and membership from us. If you are an older student and already have the Oamk student account, you can become a member instantly.
You must have a proper photo of yourself in digital form (preferably jpg-format).
The photo can be either black-and-white or colored, and you can take it with the phone, digital camera, or web camera. The most important things are, that:
NB! If the photo is against the instructions or it does not present the person who has ordered the card, the card might not be delivered.
You can sign up to Kide.app -online store via link below. You can create an account or sign up with with your Facebook-account.
Choose the length of your membership (one semester / whole academic year) and your payment method. Add a physical card into your order, if wanted. If you’d like to have your order delivered to you, also add the shipping. You can pay with your debit/credit card, online banking or MobilePay.
When you have paid for your purchase, your valid and paid membership shows up in “Your membership cards” in your “Wallet”-section. NB! This is not your digital student card. It is a proof that you have paid for your membership, and you can pick up your academic year sticker with it.
Whole academic year costs 32 euros and one semester (autumn/spring) 21 euros. When you are becoming a member for the first time, you need to also pay for the student card (7 euros). The shipping fee is 3,10 euros.
When your card arrives, you will be informed via the email you have used when joining OSAKO where to pick it up, unless you ordered a shipping.
If you ordered shipping for your order, we will send it to you when we receive it.
We recommend that you order the student card right away in the beginning of your studies. This way you get to enjoy the benefits as soon as possible. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for the card to arrive.
OSAKO members with Finnish social security number can download digital student card application from Slice. Members’ personal information is automatically transferred to Slice for the digital student card. Please note that there is a delay before the data is transferred to Slice.
1. Buy a OSAKO membership. Depending on congestion, your data will be transferred through the systems on the same day
or, at the most, within a few business days.
2. Go to slice.fi/upload.
3. Select OAMK University of Applied Sciences.
4. Fill out the form to receive an activation code (the information you provide must match the information provided to
OSAKO).
5. Download the Slice app from Google Play or the App Store.
6. Open the app and log in.
7. Enter the username and password (activation code) you received by email.
8. Accept the terms of use, as the application cannot be used without it. You can also check this in your phone’s settings
New students who are joining OSAKO, can start using Slice only after their study place have been confirmed from Oamk and their information have been put into student register, which will happen most probably until the end of August.
As an OSAKO member, you can now also order OSAKO’s student card with 24/7 -rights. This kind of student card is, however, ordered from different site, not from Kide.app.

As a member of the student union, you get an official and national student card, the AMK student card. The card is also an OSAKO membership card. With the card, you prove that you are a student and get access to all the benefits and discounts that you are entitled to as a student.
You can order the card after you have accepted a study place and Oamk has added your information to the student register. The card is valid when it has a sticker for the current semester or year. The sticker is a sign of student union membership.
In the following years, you only need a new semester or academic year sticker for your card. The fall semester sticker is valid until the end of the following January and the spring sticker until the end of the following September. The sticker for the entire academic year is valid until the end of September of the following year.
From OSAKO, you can also get 24/7 campus card (to Linnanmaa campus) and/or a student card with access rights. The last mentioned is available only for OSAKO members.
For OSAKO members, both cards are 15€, for others 30€. Please note that to purchase a card with member price, you first need to buy our membership from Kide.app. The 24/7-cards are purchased from shop.oulu.fi, not from Kide.app.
The student union organizes several events throughout the year: parties, sports events and trips. As a member of OSAKO, you get a discount on the entrance fee or, in some cases, get in for free! Check out the upcoming events on our Instagram page or/ and from our events calendar.
As an OSAKO member, you can buy movie theatre Star’s movie tickets from Sluuppi Shop with a price of only 10,25€. The tickets can be used on any of Star’s shows. Tickets can be bought during Sluuppi’s opening hours.
Romeo & Julia offers a 15% discount from all normal priced accessories and festive jewellery. The benefit is valid only at the Oulu city center’s shop and it lasts until the end of the year 2026.

Kunto Ykkönen offers OSAKO’s members a 24/7 gym membership with a price of 19,90€/month (normal price 28,90€). Opening fee 0€, no notice period.
Gym Puntti offers a 24/7-membership for three months with a price of 28,90€/month (normal price 35,90€). After that, 24/7-membership costs 33,90€/month.
As one-time introductory visit, OSAKO members get Floasis services with following prices: individual floating experience 54€ (normally 64€) and pair floating experience 64€ (normally 74€).
OSAKO members get access to the digital exercise platform Yogobe completely free of charge (normal price 22€/month). You can get access to Yogobe either by visiting Sluuppi or OSAKO’s office (please be prepared to prove your membership) or by contacting us by email at osako@osakoweb.fi. We will send you further instructions on how to start using the platform.
Valostore offers a 10% discount from all the normal priced items. The benefit is valid only at the physical store at Oulu.
Autodude offers a 10% discount from the items (except items from Kränzle, Kärcher and Nilfisk). The benefit is valid only at the physical store at Oulu.
Car wash service Pesukunkku offers a 25% discount from single washes that are bought with EasyWash-application. Use code OSAKO25 to get the discount. The benefit is valid until the end of June 2026.
As an OSAKO member, you get a 10% discount from any normal priced purchases from OSAKO’s own Campus Cafe Messi.
Terveystalo’s Rela-massagers give 10% off from all massage prices (pricing is massager specific).
Oulu’s Pilailu-Puoti offers OSAKO members a 10 % discount on all products (except helium).

Paint & Wine offers OSAKO members sessions with following prices: Session for more than 20 people – 36€/person, session for more than 35 people – 33€/person (normal price 39€/person).
