Executive board

The board appointed by the representative body is responsible for the day-to-day life of the student union. The board works especially for the development of education and the well-being of students. Board members, among other things, organize events, lead OSAKO teams, represent students in various working groups, take a stand on current issues concerning students and cooperate with the umbrella organization SAMOK. OSAKO’s board is a so-called labor board, where board members perform their duties of trust full-time. The length of the board term is one year.

Representation

The representative body is the highest decision-making body of the student body, whose 15-20 members are elected in an election held every year. All OSAKO members have the right to vote and the right to run for office. The representative board meets as needed – in practice ten times during the year. The representative body decides on the main lines of the student union’s activities, directs the work of the board and employees, and appoints student representatives to Oamk’s administration.
