OSAKO organizes the annual pre-picnic event just before the start of the new academic year, where you can get to know your fellow students and tutors before the actual academic year begins. The pre-picnic is an alcohol-free and relaxed way to get a head start on the academic year!
In 2026, the picnics will be held on Friday, August 14th, starting at 5:00 PM. The picnics will take place in parks throughout Oulu city centre at locations divided by field of study:
Hollihaka Park: Social and health care students
Kiikeli: Business students
Linnansaari: Natural resources and culture students
Tuiran ranta: Engineering students
