Ice-fishing is a traditional nordic pastime. We drill a hole to the ice on lakes or the sea or rivers, and then lure the fish into our baits!

OSAKO has been arranging super popular ice-fishing events for a while now, so let’s keep the traditions going. Now we go ice-fishing on Sunday, 23rd of March!

WHAT? Ice-fishing

WHERE? Rajahauta boat harbor + on ice

WHEN? On Sunday 23rd of March from 12pm to 3pm(ish)

WHY? Let’s enjoy the Finnish spring and traditional fishing methods

WHAT TO WEAR? Warm clothing and waterproof shoes! You cannot overdress for ice-fishing – on ice it gets cold and windy, even on spring time!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? 3 € for OSAKO members, 6€ for others. Tickets here.

This trip will be a guided experience, so you don’t have to worry about the details, equipment or anything, we will take care of it. We will also make a campfire in the end of this event and serve some sausages (also vegan option available). Feel free to also bring your own snacks. (But please note that the event is alcohol free).

We will meet in Rajahauta harbor at 12pm on Sunday. Exact address is Rajahaudantie 90580. After that we will go to the ice together, so please be there on time, since the fishing place is not very near to the shore. The event will last for about 3 hours.

Please note that this event will only happen if the weather allows. If the event get’s cancelled due to the weather, we’ll inform about it on our Instagram (@osakoweb).
