On Sunday December 10th, OSAKO and ESN Oulu are organizing a day trip to Santa Claus Village!

Have you always wanted to meet Santa Claus? Come with us to the place where fairytales and dreams come true! Now you have a chance to visit the official home of Santa Claus in the Arctic Circle, see his elves busy working – and ofc meet Santa himself, too!

Santa Claus Village is located in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland, right on the Arctic Circle. Our tickets include the travellings, and the entrance to the Village is free. You can also do some activity of your own during the day if you want to – but please note, that the activities must fit in to our travelling schedule (that can be found from down below). The trip takes place between 9am and 8pm.

Ticket sale starts on Monday 27th of November at 3pm on Kide.App.

9.00 The bus starts from in front of University of Oulu

a quick break (10-15 minutes) during the travelling

12.00 Arriving to Santa Claus Village

17.00 The journey back to home starts

a quick break (10-15 minutes) during the travelling

20.00 Arriving back to Oulu (University of Oulu)

PLEASE NOTE! Both ESN Oulu members and OSAKO members, to prove your membership, you need to have your ESNcard or OSAKO card / digital OSAKO card with you. Cards will be checked when getting on the bus.

Notice that enrolment is binding – after you have bought the ticket, you can sell it forward if you can’t come. In that case, let us (OSAKO or ESN) know the buyer’s name.

It’s once again time to welcome all the newcomers to Oamk and Oulu with a certified classic, OSAKO’s Keltanokkabileet / Greenhorns party! This year, the party takes place at Teekkaritalo (Kalervontie 7), which is an event facility that’s very popular place to throw parties among higher education students in Oulu. The doors of Teekkaritalo open at 8pm and the evening continues all the way until 3am. Since this event mimics a house party, it’s a so-called BYOB, Bring Your Own

Tour d’Oulu goes Magic in the Air

Let’s get wicked – our legendary orienteering, Tour d’Oulu goes Magic in the Air! Tour d’Oulu is alcohol-free checkpoint orienteering for new students and their tutors, happening on 28.8. from 2pm to 8pm. In the orienteering, you’ll team up with your new classmates and tour checkpoints around Oulu doing tasks and gathering points. Pre-picnics for new students

Pre-picnic is an event meant especially for new students, where you get to meet your soon-to-be classmates and tutors before the official start of the semester.
