The Body of Representative elections have finally come to a successful conclusion, and our student union’s new representatives have now been elected. Next year, our “edari” will consist of 20 full members and their deputies.
As a result of the vote, the seats were distributed as follows: the business & engineering students’ electoral alliance received 9 seats, the social & health care students’ electoral alliance 7 seats, engineering students 3 seats, and independents 1 seat. The turnout for the elections was 10.5%.
The new edari will begin its work in December at an organizational meeting, where, among other things, the chairpersons of it will be elected. However, the actual term will not begin until January 2026, when the edari members will be briefed on their duties.
Edari exercises the highest decision-making power in the student union at its meetings, and its chair leads the Body of Representatives, the board responsible for daily operations, and OSAKO’s employees. We wish all those elected good luck and wisdom in their tasks and thank everyone who participated in this year’s elections and/or voted in the elections.
The next Body of Representatives elections will be held in the fall of 2026.
