Let’s get wicked – our legendary orienteering, Tour d’Oulu goes Magic in the Air! Tour d’Oulu is alcohol-free checkpoint orienteering for new students and their tutors, happening on 28.8. from 2pm to 8pm. In the orienteering, you’ll team up with your new classmates and tour checkpoints around Oulu doing tasks and gathering points. The team with most points will be crowned at the afterpary, which takes place at Ilona at 10pm! The orienteering itself is free, but tickets to afterparty

Student Union OSAKO organizes pre-picnics every year during August. Pre-picnic is an event meant especially for new students, where you get to meet your soon-to-be classmates and tutors before the official start of the semester. In Autumn 2025, the pre-picnics happen on Friday, 15th of August, starting at 5pm. Ice-fishing is a traditional nordic pastime. We drill a hole to the ice on lakes or the sea or rivers, and then lure the fish into our baits! Come find your county- and municipal election candidates! At election fairs and panels organised by OYY, OSAKO and O’Diako, you can find out about the candidates’ and parties’ opinions and goals in the local and regional elections. These events will focus on topics that are of particular interest to students! This fair & panel happens at University’s Kontinkangas Campus (Aapistie 5) on Wednesday 2nd of April. The fair takes place at main entrance hall from 10am to 4pm, and fair
